Hailing from California and a proud alumnus of UC Berkeley, our founder has been practicing architecture since 1996 in Sacramento. Jan moved to Seattle and graduated from the University of Washington in 2006 and have lived in Seattle ever since. Over the past three decades, he has cultivated a deep, enduring passion for delivering innovative architectural solutions across a wide variety of complex projects. Outside of work, Jan enjoys cycling around the Pacific Northwest.
What is a fun fact about yourself? “I won 3rd place in a national fencing competition”
Rui Bao, RA, LEED A+P | Project Architect

Originally from Chengdu, Rui brings over 10 years of architectural experience to the LEV team. Rui graduated from the University of Washington with a Master of Architecture degree in 2017 and has lived in the Seattle area ever since. Her knowledge allows her to contribute a highly refined perspective to every design project. Away from work, Rui loves exploring the Pacific Northwest by hiking mountain trails, and frequently unwinds by dedicating time to writing.
What is your favorite hiking trail? “Blue Lake, because of the fragile but stunning beauty of the larch trees”

Born and raised in Indonesia, Vincent moved to the United States in 2019, attending the University of Kansas and graduating with a Master of Architecture degree in 2025. His final year of university was spent abroad in Paris, France, in a study abroad and internship program. Vincent moved to Seattle after graduating and joined the LEV team, bringing a unique perspective to every project. Outside of the office, Vincent loves hiking the mountains and in the winters, he enjoys skiing them.
What is your favorite sport? “Skiing! I enjoy exploring the mountain on my skis”
Shloka Khandelwal | Junior Design Associate

Shloka began her career as an interior designer in Hyderabad, India, before moving to Seattle to pursue her Master of Architecture degree in the University of Washington. She Joined LEV Architecture after graduating to further develop her architectural skills. She is deeply passionate about contextual design, believing that architecture must seamlessly respond to its local climate, culture, and community so that every building truly belongs where it is built.
What do you do for fun outside of work? “I love playing games, watching movies, and exploring new places around the PNW!”
